My Holiday Fun

My Holiday Fun

As you all know, it is finally holidays so we can all play and have fun but sometimes it can be quite boring. Luckily not for me!

I have seen some awesome movies, one of them for the first time which was 'Madagascar 3 Europes Most Wanted' but all of the rest I've seen like a hundred times. Pitch Perfect,
Aca-Awesome and Despicable Me, (Only number 1). I watched others but they aren't very interesting.

I also went to see my aunties two babies. They are so adorable and they're only about 2-3 months, but man they are HUGE!!! It's true they are quite big which makes them even cuter. I love them to bits.

Aren't you excited that it's the holidays, I sure am! HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!

The Holidays are Finally Here!!!

The Holidays are Finally Here!!!

“RRRIIINNNGGG!!!” goes the bell alarming everyone that school is finally over for the second term. We all run off in a rush to go home and start one of our favourite times of the year.

What are you going to do in the holidays?, because I have no idea about what I’m going to do. Maybe stay home and help my mum and maybe even visit family. I’m really excited for that.

This holidays, all I want is non-stop play and visiting family and friends. I guess any kid would want to play non-stop in fresh air. I love holidays, don’t you?

The NOT Fun Run

The NOT Fun Run

Wednesday the 10th of July, the day of the fun run. We get in our stance to sprint our way into action. We wait for the horn to blow as loud as ever and we wait even more.......... “HHHOOONNNKKK!!!!!” it blows and everyone starts off to a steady start.

We all run off in a flash. As I look back I think to myself “I have to speed up otherwise I’ll come in late!” so I sped up and placed myself in the middle of everyone. I was glad that I wouldn’t come last in the run.

“Wooohhh!” I did it! I came in at 39 minutes and something but that didn’t matter to me, I had finally finished the total 5 laps! Thank goodness, I was so tired.

Rock Climbing Presentation

Makayla's Rock Climbing

Rock Climbing

I wobble while I grip onto the bumpy surface of the cliff. I breath deeply in and out to try to improve my focus. As I stare at the top of the mountain, I make sure I have a safe piece of rock to hold onto as I move upwards. One hand after the other, I clasp onto the next sturdy rock I see, hoping that I reach the top. Moving forwards to the end of the journey, I finally reach my final destination with sweat dripping down my face, I look back and sigh in relief. I knew I would get there in the end because I persevered and used strength throughout the climb.

“Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others let go” as quoted by William Feather. William Feather is trying to tell me not to give up even in tough situations. He is telling me to believe in my dreams and conquer my fears. I need to have faith in myself and keep going because William feather knows I can. In my opinion I think that it is a great message because it goes with the saying practice makes perfect and it is absolutely true.

The aim of rock climbing is to climb from bottom to top. In Order to participate in rock climbing you need highly specialised equipment as it takes up half of the sport. In modern times, most rock climbing was classed as free climbing and the equipment was used more for safety and not support. Now in our days rock climbing is a sport and people do it for the challenge, also the equipment is used to stop people from falling or dying. You need to have a good grip and great strength to be able to rock climb without any equipment which helps for support. It takes a lot of thinking in rock climbing as well.

Your brain controls the way you move and helps to function your muscles to make sure your arms and legs are in the right position for the climb. If you didn’t need safety gear you would just  need  a great body strength and a pair of good climbing shoes. Rock climbing needs to have a lot of physical and mental focus as rock climbing can be a dangerous sport too.

Should Homework be Compulsory in Schools?

Should Homework be Compulsory in Schools?

Firstly, I think once you turn 11, you should get no more homework because we do should be old enough to control the way we learn at home. Once we get to the age of around 13, us teens do a lot of reading online through research assignments and reading at school. So over all, I think homework should be banned for this years teen generation.

Homework can interfere with our lives and can stop kids enjoying school. Most kids do not enjoy homework because it does cut in to our time for ourselves. Do teachers really want us to hate school?

I really wish homework would not be compulsory for intermediate children. It doesn’t help us very much and homework is not really supposed to be real because we should do it at school. If teachers can’t handle that, NO HOMEWORK AT ALL!

My answer to ‘Should Homework be Compulsory in Schools?’, No, no it should not be!

I Want This Movie!!!

I Want This MOVIE!!!

There is a really cool movie in the cinemas at the moment and that movie is ‘Despicable Me 2’. This movie is a follow up of the best movie in the world (for me that is) ‘Despicable Me’ the first movie.

The movie has an amazing group of characters that have different personalities and aspirations. Dr Gru, the daft villan who tries to make the world bow to him. Margo, Edith and Agnes are all sisters that Dr Gru adopted. They are all little kids who like to play and see new wonders of the world.

I am now dying to see this movie because it just looks so funny! Even the little minions are crazy just like there boss, Gru! I can’t wait until this movie comes out on DVD.

STATUS: Excited :)
