Touch Rugby

Touch Rugby for Room 21

Ready, set, go, we hear the whistle blow as we ready for the touch rugby game with our coach, Kevin.

Everyone gets all puffed up as they chase each other around the bottom field. Mrs Lagitupu offers me the job of filming the fun game. I hold the video camera in my hands and shoot everyone take hold of the ball. Everyone looks like they are having heaps of fun running wildly on the field. They all huff and puff as they lack of energy.

TRY!!! They all shout as the ball lands on the ground over the try-line. Woohoo!!! They go. The teacher must be thinking about all the teamwork that is going on. She must be so proud, but the game carries on. The whistle blows once more, and everyone gets in their stance to take off and attempt and scoring a try. Eventually, their dream of scoring a try comes true.

Yay!! They all celebrate with cheers and woohoo’s because one of the teams got the most tries and won because of them. Everyone said thank-you and bye-bye to the coach and left to the classroom.

Everyone will remember the time they played touch rugby at the bottom field of Pt. England school. Thank you Kevin, our coach.

Fiafia Assembly part 2

Today, Fiafia assembly reopens to the school of Pt. England. Everyone is anxious to see the performances that Ms M has to offer us. We wait for the talking to stop and BOOM!!! The music starts and everyone goes ooh and aah!

Ms M, Mrs Nua, Ms George, Mrs Tuala, Mrs Lal, Dhara and Jouan were all dressed up and ready to go do their thing. They danced so beautifully. Everyone was excited to watch them all dance a cultural bollywood salsa dance. I loved it but I knew that soon after they would finish. I would have to perform for the choir. I was so nervous but I knew that I had to do it. So I stood up and made my way to the bottom of the stage. It was daunting but at the same time, exciting! We sang the song ‘I Believe’. Yay, I’m having a one person party in my head, shouting It’s finally over but it did feel really good to be up there singing with everyone in the choir.

It was all over before you knew it, plus another good thing about assembly was that I got a certificate for the very first part of this story. It’s now chau time so byebye.

Fiafia Assembly

Fiafia Assembly

“Give it up for the amazing P.E.P.A groups one more time! These performances are going to be absolutely awesome” said Mr Burt.

They’re up on stage probably with butterflies in their stomachs, their hearts beating like a thousand drums but they’re going to do it anyway! Out comes the drummers ready to pound and beat the drums. Mr Barks came out to dance like a lunatic. He made everyone crack up! Then the singers, Uili, Hosanna and Henry get ready to sing their hit, ‘I Believe’. Suddenly everyone bursts out with clapping and cheering, I can hear people screaming because they liked the singing, The singers dissapear into the corner, nobody looks in and everybody waits in silence.

Eventually Kingston appears with a conch shell. He takes in all the air he can hold and blows it. It was quiet but he gave it his best shot and that was the call for Gabriel to come out on stage. He was representing the Maori culture. He came out and did his cultural dance and soon after  Rita danced out and represented the Samoan culture. It was outstanding!

But it’s not over yet. A traditional looking dragon came out walking with Crusader (he’s been dying for me to say this) as the dragons head.
The huge dragon waddles up on stage and rests by the back wall.
Then more dancers appear on stage, I think to myself if this will ever end again I think no!, and the dancers danced really well, there was hip hop, ballet, Bollywood and there was even someone riding a unicycle.

It was quite fun to watch, it was a pitty I had to sit in a really bad spot! After all of that fun, it had to stop, Gabriel leaded the dragon off stage and everyone else just hurried off after them.

Everyone had a lot of fun watching all of the awesome dancing but we all knew it would eventually have to stop. And this day will be remembered for a very long time.

If I was Rich and Famous

If I was rich and famous . . . . .

I, Makayla G would be a great movie star and model. Everyone would know my name and would scream at my appearance on the street.
I would have my very own palace in a very popular place (America), and in that palace would be one enormous room just for clothing and accessories. It would be the room that I get ready for my photo shoots or for me to get ready for my live reality show or something.

I would also have one giant room for all my animals such as a horse and an amazing cling on animal like one of those really miniature monkeys. Plus for that room, I would have my own maid to clean their mess up.

The next thing on my list of things that I want would be for my bestie to have everything they wanted in their palace that we be next to mine. We could visit each other everyday plus we could even do shoots and movies together!

I’d also have all the latest technology like IPads and Samsung Galaxy 3’s and everything I had ever wanted.

That would be everything I would want if I was rich and famous! ! !

Hello everyone

Hi, my name is Makayla and I'm a year 8 in room 21 with Mrs Lagitupu. I like to eat pasta and sushi
and I have 3 half-sisters and 1 half-brother. I like to play certain sports but unfortunately I can't because I recently broke my arm falling off my scooter.
